HEMA - Rapiers, sidesword

The first sideswords appeared in the 15th centur evolving from the arming swords. By the 16-17th century the sideswords and their successors the rapiers become very popular in Western Europe. Often these weapons were paired with an other similar sword or with a parrying dagger.

Our sideswords, rapiers or daggers can be more flexible for tournaments or more stiffer like the original pieces.

Sword sharpening

Sharpening a sword blade before or after assembling the sword.
During sharpening, the blade loses its original thickness, making it more flexible and lighter, but also more fragile, of course.

The use of sharp swords is a training exercise that requires practice and knowledge, which must be exercised with extreme caution!

Damage and deflection of the swords are primarily due to cutting errors, so these damages are not warranty problems!

HEMA dagger for fencing trainings

This dagger was developed specifically for HEMA fencing, seeing the growing demand for this fencing tool.

The material of the blade is the well-proven 51CrV4 steel, which is characterized by good edge retention and flexibility.

The dagger allows for very easy fencing, the weapon seems almost weightless due to the close center of gravity.

Its handguard is made of a 2 mm thick sheet, it provides complete protection for the hand.
